Katryn's Place - adapted from short story - The Dog
2002 - 85 mins - Canada
After the death of her perfect husband Katryn discovers his hidden life through the random escapes of his dog.
An avid traveler, I left England at 16 and hitch-hiked my way around the world. I published various short stories inspired by these world travels, helped by my father Marius, one which was adapted to film in Canada. -The Dog - starring Pascale Monpetit. This began my love affair with film and editing. I arrived in Montreal in 2000 with my daughter, Alyosha.
A graduate of Montreal's Concordia University cinema program, I created the award-winning Stanley Lewis Documentary Collection, on the life of my dear friend, the Montreal sculptor, Stanley Lewis.
Where's Stanley? : Special Mention. LA Shorts. Birth of the Smoked Meat : Winning the Kodak Imaging Award for best direction with ZOE MAPP. It screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2007. Up & Down the City Road : Stop motion animation.
Dust: A Sculptor's Journey: My first full-length feature. It premiered at HOTDOCS, Toronto, in 2011, and international festivals. It screens regularly around Montreal for those lovers of Lewis, and I am proud to help keep Stan's legacy alive.
My second full-length Canadian feature, Chez Lise, is co-directed with hometown buddy, James Galwey 2013. It follows two lovers, Deanna and Gordon who suffer from severe mental illness. It won first prize in Liège ImagéSanté, film festival for mental health
Since 2015, I have lived in China, teaching documentary film production at the Beijing Film Academy, Qingdao Campus. I LOVE it.
My latest feature documentary helped by my students: The Sea Hut - 海边的小屋 , a Chinese production has just won three awards in China and was a finalist as the London Lift Off Sessions.

Up & Down the City Road - Part 3
Jeanne Pope & Wang Ying
2008 - Short - 10mns - Canada
Up & Down the City Road is a tribute to the Boulevard St.Laurent of old, an ode, a street poem to Stanley Lewis and to friendship, and to his beloved changed street, the Main.
"An animated documentary assembled in a rough-hewn manner, it's formally odd but sentimentally evocative." MALCOLM FRASER Mirror 2008
Dust a Sculptor's Journey - Part 4
2011 - Feature 55mns - Canada
This film is an intimate artist profile and first-person ode. It explores the life and work of Montreal's late great sculptor and print-maker Stanley Lewis for his contribution to Canada’s rich art heritage and also portrays his love for his beloved Boulevard St. Laurent, affectionately known as the Main. This cinéma-vérité documentary chronicles the last years of Stanley's eccentric life as he struggles with his health and creative legacy. His nostalgic boulevard, his cluttered dusty studio and his vagabond friends all serve as a backdrop for the perseverance of his artistic vision and the cultural landmarks fading around him.
This is a personal journal and homage to my friend Stanley.

The Seahut 海边的小屋
2019 - Feature - 85 mns - China
This is an story of loss and love, identity, memory and forgiveness. A story of uprooted people. Using Super 8, family found footage, war archives, re-enactment, experimentation, and highly saturated images, we move back and forwards between my mother’s past to where she was born in Shanghai, then moved to Europe; and to the present, a small fishing village in China where a sea hut is the metaphor for that veil between two worlds and two times. Europe- China, past and present. On film circuit currently.
